What is the First Home Scheme?<\/b><\/h3>

The <\/span>First Home Scheme (FHS)<\/b> is a <\/span>shared equity scheme<\/b> designed to help first-time buyers and certain eligible buyers bridge the gap between:<\/span><\/p>

– Their <\/span>mortgage<\/b><\/p>

– Their <\/span>deposit<\/b><\/p>

– And the <\/span>price of a newly built home<\/b><\/p>

If you qualify, the Scheme contributes part of the purchase price in exchange for a <\/span>percentage ownership (equity share)<\/b> in your home.<\/span><\/p>

What does the Scheme provide?<\/b><\/h3>

The Scheme can contribute:<\/span><\/p>

– Up to 30%<\/b> of the property price if you are <\/span>not using Help to Buy<\/b><\/p>

– Up to 20%<\/b> if you <\/span>are using Help to Buy<\/b><\/p>

The minimum equity share<\/b> is 2.5% of the property price or \u20ac10,000 (whichever is higher)<\/b><\/p>

The State does <\/span>not charge interest<\/b> for the <\/span>first five years<\/b><\/p>
